Let True North Show You The Way To Recovery
True North Recovery and Wellness Center is a fully licensed and accredited, full-service Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) which serves Utah county and surrounding areas for substance abuse and other harmful addictions.
At True North we utilize a highly personal and professional approach with our clients. We understand that when it comes to treating addiction, there is not a "one size fits all" approach. It is because of this that our staff is actively involved in the lives of our clients and their treatment. We believe that this method provides each client with the best chance to achieve total sobriety and break free from the chains of addiction. While our specialty is treating our patients utilizing medications such as Methadone, Suboxone, Vivitrol, etc., we also couple it individual and group therapy. We offer a number of different services and treatment approaches which depends on each client's specific needs.
If you or your loved one is interested in our services or you want to learn a little bit more about what we do and how we do it, please feel free to give us a call or stop by our clinic during our business hours. We will do our very best to address any questions or concerns you might have. We understand that there are many options when it comes to drug rehabilitation and also that the importance of finding a facility that you feel comfortable with and have confidence in, cannot be overstated. Our patients and their well-being is our number one priority, so if you feel that our approach is not the right one for you, we will help point you in the direction of something a little more fitting.
Thank you for visiting our website. We hope that you found it useful and some of your questions were answered. Again, please feel free to give us a call or stop in some time!
Tools We Use To Help You Find Your Way
Moral Reconation Therapy
Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) is the premiere cognitive-behavioral program for substance abuse treatment & for criminal justice offenders.
Intervention programs generally recognize the following:
- The survivor’s need to be respected, informed, connected & hopeful regarding their own recovery
- The interrelation between trauma & symptoms of trauma such as substance abuse, eating disorders, depression & anxiety
- The need to work in a collaborative way with survivors, family & friends of the survivor
Mindfulness – DBT
Mindfulness is a “core” exercise used in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In DBT there are three primary ways we use to refer to our states of mind:
- Emotion Mind: – thoughts controlled by our emotions
- Reasonable Mind – thoughts controlled by logic/common sense
- Wise Mind – thoughts are generated by our upper mind
A Trauma Informed Approach
A trauma-informed approach reflects adherence to six key principles: 1. Safety 2. Trustworthiness & Transparency 3. Peer Support 4. Collaboration & Mutuality 5. Empowerment, Voice & Choice 6. Cultural, Historical & Gender Issues
This treatment is non-confrontational and helps the patient explore future goals and dreams and whether their current lifestyle and behaviors are getting them closer to or further away from these goals and dreams.
